What painting services does Painting in the South offer?
Our primary services are interior painting, exterior painting and cabinet painting. We also offer drywall repair and selected exterior wood and trim repairs that support the painting process.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Birmingham and surrounding Greater Birmingham communities including Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Trussville, Gardendale, Bessemer, Pelham, Alabaster, Helena and Chelsea.

Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. You can request an estimate by phone or through the website contact page.
Do you paint both interiors and exteriors?
Yes. Interior painting and exterior painting are the two primary service categories for the business.
Do you paint kitchen cabinets?
Yes. Cabinet painting is a dedicated service for kitchens, bathroom vanities and other suitable built-in cabinetry.
Can you repair drywall before painting?
Yes. Drywall repair is available as a supporting service when damaged walls need to be repaired before interior painting.
Can you repair fascia, soffits or exterior trim before painting?
Yes. Selected siding, soffit, fascia board, exterior window trim and wood rot repairs can be coordinated when they are needed as part of exterior paint preparation.
Are you a handyman company?
No. Painting in the South is positioned as a residential painting company. Repair services are complementary to painting and help us prepare damaged surfaces for a better finish.
How should I prepare for an interior painting project?
The exact preparation depends on the rooms and scope. During the estimate we can discuss furniture, wall hangings, access and any drywall or surface repairs that should happen before painting.
What information helps with an exterior painting estimate?
The project address or city, the surfaces you want painted, photos when available, known trim or wood damage, and any timing considerations are all useful starting points.
How do I choose between repainting and replacing cabinets?
If the cabinetry is still functional and the main goal is a fresh color or finish, painting may be a practical option. Cabinets with major structural issues may require a different solution.
